Ambassador Abdali Met with Family Members of the Late Dr. Nakamura
July 8, 2021 – During his visit to Omuta City, Ambassador Abdali met with family members of the late Dr. Tetsu Nakamura and conveyed his condolences and sympathy to them.
Ambassador Abdali reaffirmed the commitment of the people and Government of Afghanistan to building upon the legacies of Dr. Nakamura and added that the Ministry of Information and Culture of Afghanistan is planning to make a film on Dr. Nakamura’s life and projects in Afghanistan. He also informed them of his agreement with the Mayor of Asakura City to establish a sister city relationship between Asakura and Jalalabad cities, in which the late Nakamura had lived for a long time.
Nakamura’s widow, Ms. Naoko Nakamura, and her daughter, Ms. Akiko Nakamura, thanked Ambassador Abdali for his sympathy and appreciated the Afghan Government for its initiatives, including making a film on Dr. Nakamura’s life and the establishment of sister city relationship between Asakura and Jalalabad cities.
Mr. Masaru Murakami, Chairman of Peshawar-Kai and PMS, Mr. Najibullah Safi, Counselor of the Embassy, and staff members of the PMS also participated in this meeting.
